2023 Summer ULTRA NZ Drift Matsuri
SUMMER MATSURI IS BACK!
We are excited to finally be bringing you the first Summer NZ Drift Matsuri in TWO YEARS! And what a venue to host it, the international Hampton Downs Motorsport Park! Open Drift Sessions for some of NZs best grassroots & competition drifters on the fast and flowy National Circuit with its HUGE drift section, alongside the well-loved Club Circuit!
NZ Drift Matsuri will also play host to Round One of the D1NZ Pro-Sport Championship Series over Saturdays extended lunch break, an epic addition to the schedule for all to enjoy!
Friday sees D1NZ Pro-Sport practice and qualification take place on National Circuit from lunch onwards, followed by the first half of the battle tree where those who make the Top 16/24 will go head to head for the top 8 battles on Saturday from 1pm. Early Sign in/Club Circuit is also on offer for those interested in drifting both days.
On Saturday we have National & Club Circuit available for drivers from around NZ to enjoy, with drifting from 9:00am - 5:30pm! Those who enter National Circuit can shoot down to Club Circuit from 1pm to smash some laps while D1 Pro-Sport is on track, or get some practice in for 3PMs Big Entry comp!
Tyre Changers will be available on the day.
Early Bird entries end this week (19th January 5pm or while they last), with options available for both tracks! Take your pick! For those who cooked the job over New Years, we are official partners of Afterpay and Genoapay (PM us to arrange)
Those who enter the BOTH Track option must be a minimum of an intermediate skill level driver, and your car must have a full weld in roll cage (no homologation required but has to be built to a similar standard)
You will be pitted from the National Circuit and able to head down to Club Circuit and join in on sessions from 1pm onwards!
Club Entrants you will have the morning all to yourselves! Get out there and crush some laps!
National Circuit Early Bird $350 (Intermediate to Pro Skill Only)
Club Circuit Early Bird $240 (Min. Amateur Skill)
VIP Fast Pass Driver upgrades are available on National Circuit for $120!
FastPass holders will be able to join ANY grouped session on the day. Basically if you want to be a degenerate and destroy NZs supply of 235/265s, take a heap of passengers or sponsors for laps on the day, this is for you. This is also part of our strategy to help keep numbers and entries a little lower, supporting the cause that is NZ Drift Matsuri.
