Winter SuperFest 2024

This Winter we are bringing together a special event at Taupo International Motorsport Park with two days of action on August 24/25th!

Saturday - Winter NZ Drift Matsuri

Drifters from around the country head for Day 1 of SuperFest hosted by NZ Drift Matsuri, with drift sessions operating across the entire day with two circuits to pick from.

Track 2 (Main Track/National Circuit) Reverse Direction

Big Entry Comp operating over the lunch break, and a potential direction change after lunch. Open to approved Advanced & Intermediate drivers with weld in full roll-cages.

Enjoy 20 minute sessions for optimal track time, allowing drivers to come in, change tyres and head back out for two sessions in one!

Track 3 (Back Track/Club Circuit)

Club Circuit is a fun drift circuit that is open for Intermediate to Amateur skill level drivers. No cage requirement!

Sunday - SuperFest 2

SuperFest is a new performance car festival open to modified imports, tuned euros, rotaries, hotrods & street machines, to full blown track car builds with 250 entries available!

Following a successful first event at Hampton Downs, we look forward to bringing you Round 2, this time, at Taupo International Motorsport Park!

SuperFest Car Show / Drift Matsuri Jam Sessions on both tracks / Burnouts / Cruise Sessions & Grip Racing, SuperFest offers a diverse range of entertainment for those who enter! SuperFest will have a range of media present and to ensure a high quality event, all registrations are taken via an application process. Cars must be to a high standard. We look forward to having you along!

Drift Matsuri & SuperFest Drift Sessions are for approved drivers only. Drift Matsuri features a full day of epic track sessions on National Circuit (Main Track) for Advanced/Intermediate skill Drivers (min. 6 pt roll cage) & Club Circuit for Intermediate/Amateur Drivers. Drivers entering Saturdays Winter Matsuri will also receive an exclusive weekend rate when entering SuperFest 2 to enjoy even more activities with Drifting, Burnouts, Cruising & more on the Sunday!

Drift Matsuri has recently started our own tyre distribution channel, "Domino" making prepping for your track day even easier. Alongside our hard wearing Evergreen radials, we also have access to Goodride delivered direct to your door or the motorsport park!
