All entries are final, entrants who are unable to make it to the event may transfer their entry to another party up until 14 days from the event for a standard $50 admin fee. Contact support@driftmatsuri.co.nz to confirm any changes.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long are the drift sessions?
Drift Matsuri / SuperFest National Circuit Drift Sessions are 20 minutes long. Club Circuit Sessions are 10-15 minutes long and adjusted based on how many drivers are remaining on track.
Can we come in and go back out?
Yes of course! The sessions are designed to keep your day flowing nicely, whether you need to come in and change tyres or want to swap passengers over. This is on the driver to arrive to the pit exit in time, you may go out up until the final 3 minutes of the session.
What safety gear is required?

Can we take passengers?
Passengers are welcome in vehicles with a minimum of a 6pt weld in roll cage (assessed at scrutineering), bucket seats, harnesses and the same safety gear as the driver including an approved frontal neck restraint i.e. Necksgen, HANS, Simpson Hybrid or similar, gloves and boots. Please note there is a passenger band fee of $26 payable at the event tent. This is a flat rate and covers the passenger for either the day or the weekend.
What time do driver gates open?
Driver gates will open from 2PM Friday for early sign in and scrutineering (advised for a faster start on the Saturday) - Saturday & Sunday morning, Driver gates will open from 7:00AM. Access is via Centennial Drive (Back Track) - Please have your driver payment email and license handy.
What time does the event finish?
Being Winter and available daylight, we aim to operate until 4:30-5:00pm each day. There may be exceptions to go until 5:30pm but this is based on the Motorsport Parks approval on the day.
Are we able to grab a crew pass?
All driver entries come with a complimentary spectator pass for you to provide to a friend or crew member! This will either be in the form of an eTicket, or alternatively each driver will have an allocation next to their name on the gate.
